    Quote:

'We can get you a throttle bodies kit for less than SBD - SBD claim very optimistic bhp with their kits.....the kits we can get are better quality....'

Can we not slander company names please?

SBD sponsor this site and im sure we would like to keep good realations with them like we have done in the past.

PVD have also taken alot of wrap lately.

yeah there are 2 points here really

the race cams are strictly controlled and rarely give gains without other huge engine mods (mahoosive carbs for instance and rev to 9k on a dry sump system)
400 quid for cams, bugger that

jenvey throttle bodies are used in the BTCC cars and pretty much kickass for what is available now. looking at puma, luminition and weber the gains are too similar to carbs (15bhp less than my crappy 196 setup)
there are other TB companies out there i am sure (motorbike ones would be a larf on a budget) but i dunno anything about them. did pvd say whos TBs they were (bet you its jenvey anyway)

Im not slandering anyone - Im merely stating what I was told....

How much should I pay for pair of cams for the 16v brand new?

To rev to 9k is going to require bottom end rebuild!!!

I just a want a set of fast road cams to add to the engine without stressing the bottom end too much...

PVD say the cams work with the TB's....

No idea who the TB's are made by....

Oh and for the record - I reckon SBD Stuff rocks...

i dont, but they dont make any TB stuff lmao

erm cams, machined from blanks or machined from OE? big difference, i would expect between 200 and 300 quid, but as most know they can be found loads cheaper

to rev to 9k you need a lot more than a bottom end rebuild lol

look at SBDs 225 cams, they are around 400 quid but they are supposed to be the danglies, maybe someone else can shed some light on them

    what the f u c k ???

SBD dont make any claims, they make gurantees from hours and hours of dyno development, and rightly so. wtf do pvd know about it ? they are just retailers, f uck sake ive never heard such shite.

anybody know anyone who has tried the new luminition roller barrels? they look well nice, just wonder how they perform

and i seem to have shot myself in the foot, i said luminition arent as good as jenvey in a round about way up there, but it looks like luminition are rebadged jenveys lmao
must be down to management cos they dont make the same power
