    Question Just curious....

as weather or not there is another make of car that will match a GTE for performance for the price?

Ive had a look around out of curiousity (not that im thinking of leaving Vauxhalls) but couldnt see anything that would be on par using a max price of 1500 quid.

    Anyone else know different?

    Cav V6
I think a v6 is the only thing that'll come close.

The cav turbo would be cool but for that price I'm guessing it'll be a bit funked!

v6's are underrated in the car world

    get to it!

Couple of the old BMWs must be worth a look, dunno about being on par with performance but RWD and alot of comforts.

Not sure I would agree with that. I have beaten 325i's in a GTE before.

The white Suzuki Starlet, that one was pretty rapid (for a shopping trolley)

Renault 16 16v is only 130 bhp so no where near a GTE

Renault 19 16v's are said to do 0-60 in 7.7 seconds with a top speed of 128 ish with 137 bhp, but are built like buiscuit tins and are easily dented.

Only thing is, they go for peanuts
