Emergency tax sucks ass

Just started my job three weeks ago and handed in my P45 but the tax office/payroll did not process it in time so ive had to pay 40% tax on my two weeks pay(get paid monthly but started two weeks in), arse

Oh well, hopefull get it back next month

how very true , i got a tax rebate last year fot about £600 from when i was at college which was over 4 years ago now, that was a nice suprise that week

I've been on emergency tax for the past year, I've sent off to P45's and still nothing, I just hope that the rebate will be quite large

DONT SEND IT OFF RING EM AND ASK IF YOU CAN FAX BEFORE YOU SEND IT WITH A LITTLE LETTER SAYING THEY ALREADY HAVE THE INFO IT GOES THROUGH USUALLY THAT DAY!
