LOL. This one uses 1bhp to power itself - I doubt it would make that back, so it would in reality lose you 1bhp.
Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?

    Re: Electric Supercharger Again..

[I'm lying] After owning one for 6 months I've had to take mine off the car as the power was far too much to handle [/I'm lying]

"Be the first person in this county to own the new and original patented eRAM electric supercharger. (Patent Number 6,328,024)"

First person in the COUNTY!! Almost too tempting to resist

    Re: Electric Supercharger Again..

im just trying to figure this out.... it gives 1psi of boost, so thats meaning that its equivelant to 1/14.7 of atmosphere pressure. so is this 1 psi added on top of what the car does?

so in reality its not even providing what a car requires really is it...

tip - for £300 go either buy a decent exhaust/filter that will increase airflow beyond 1 psi or go get Nos or a chip....

    Re: Electric Supercharger Again..

I reckon you could get discount from 150bhp to 145bhp if you use one cause of the obstruction to airflow.

    Re: Electric Supercharger Again..

Old thread, but I was on the bay to look for superchargers on sale and man, such crap!! What do you expect from an electric unit that draws 3 amperes!! LOL That is 36 watts of power, I don't even think my 2000 watt vacume cleaner will make a difference when I would let it blow at max force into my intake!!

What a scam! Surprised these are still being sold!!

    Re: Electric Supercharger Again..

I can see no more than 18bhp from one of these units , if set up properly .
That's if using a powercapacitor so the electric supercharger can store power .
Then that will be one hell of a kick when you press the button .
I canny invest in ya and for that reason , I'm oot .

    Re: Electric Supercharger Again..

Well you could softstart it using a power NTC, but 18bhp??! I think that's waaaay too positive an estimate mate! LOL!

    Re: Electric Supercharger Again..

a guy at this years ppc challenge tried to do something similar but strapped a leafblower to his stripped out fiat panda, it helped with low down the rev range but then restricted the cars top speed as the blower couldn't blow as quick as the engine was sucking
