A few old Citroens (proper ones), big XMs mainly, but have a CX now too. Probs not the kinda cars most would be a fan of

Used to have an Astra and a Cav amongst other things, which is what drew me to this site originally, and just stayed around

Still a fan of the Vaux, but can't see me owning one in the immediate future.

What're you driving yourself?

Oh CX's big fan of them awesome cars the amount of s**te you could store in an estate version is great. Travelled all over the country in one of them lasted me well except for the usual hydraulic hose problems

Well, there's one belonging to me currently stranded outside Glasgow after our failed attempt to collect it on Wednesday (long story

). To be fair though the stranding isn't the car's fault, and is due to shredded tyres, and our stupidity...

Re Hydraulic issues, if you ever get a leaky pipe, replace the section with the cupro-nickel stuff and it'll never leak again. You can buy rolls of the stuff, 50m for about 30 quid, enough to do 3 or 4 cars in their entirity....

masking tape works well aswell it got us from poole to wolverhampton until it was replaced unfortunately I don't own one anymore it was rotten so got scrapped a few years back now.

Masking tape.... ahaaa I guess it was a rubber return hose that split on you... no way that would have worked on the metal high pressure pipes, there's like 2000 PSI in them

Rotten is sadly the way a lot of CXs end up, is their one big weakness really, like a lot of other cars of that era. The XMs are galvanised and tend not to rust at all, hence there's quite a few more of them surviving now, despite the fact they made about 1.6 million CXs and only 300,000 XMs....

yeah it was one of the return hoses, its a shame really if you want a decent cx now you have to head to France as they are lasting a bit better over there

What colour is your Cav, any mods etc? I might've seen it about.
