oh and i bought a cav for 180 quid at the weekend. Its rough but has 10 months MOT to do me for a while. Posted details of it in the car talk section but they thought i was ripped off...lol. I guess old runabouts are a lot cheaper in GB, along with everything else, parts, insurance...rant.....rant......i'll put a pic of it on later. Was told about it on Jon44.

Yeah but everything costs a fortune here. I paid 300 quid for a 218 rover with about 111000 miles it done me the best for a year you could get the same car in england for about 100 quid, thats just the way it goes.

Yeah. But i suppose anything that costs less than £500 is just a bit of fun. Im having to fight all my instincts to really tidy this car up and fix everything on it, i love wee projects. No point though, its only to use as a runabout and id never get my money back as its a 1.8 Though there was a 130 2ltr engine+box+loom for £100 on jon44 lol

Yeah i am the same hate things not being perfect. 130 engines are nigh on indestruable but for the effort and since your only keeping the car for a few months it may not be worth it but would be fun all the same.
