Name and shame Kev, if anyone is giving you grief for doing your unpaid and largely unthanked job as a co-ord, then they dont deserve to be on MIG imho

Gutted for you. I'll have to think twice about a eastmids RR session now!

Especially whichever idiots gave you grief over it. Whoever they are should be ashamed of themselves, especially after all the hard work you have put into trying to arrange something.

I seriously doubt they'll have the manners to do so but the very least you should receive is an apology from those who gave you grief over it. Those who don't know Kev and got shirty with him undoubtably haven't got a clue what a nice lad he is and how much time and affort he puts in UNPAID to try and arrange things for Migweb members and users. Hang your head in shame and either apologise or stop using this forum.

Nice to see that Staff are being abused for trying to do a good thing.

As said, Kev's a good lad likewise as are all of our staff and we do not appreciate people abusing them. Jokingly, yes, but if you wanna be serious then point your abuse else where please.

I'm honestly gutted for you and your region Kev.

Shame this has been called off, the last one was a really good day with a decent turn out too. Id love to know what excuse any fool hadto give kev any grief what so ever. He tried to organise an event giving up his own time, only 5 people payed so it didnt happen, the end. Cant see anything he has done wrong there?

Anyway hope you manage to sort another rr day out asap.

I guess they can not justify the Saturday working for the operators and 10 x £35 would be required to get the deal! Awesome normally have about 3 people running the dyno day!
It is also likely that the MIG guys who have paid will have had to make changes, swap shifts etc, Including Kev as I know he works shifts. Reading the posts, a deadline is a deadline which Kev clearly said was 5.00pm on the 18th, Many people get paid on a friday and it is better to phone after work 4.00pm finish(although i had paid earlier to show support), it seems was cancelled at 11.50am well before that time.
I do appreciate Kevs efforts to arrange this, but to cancel it before the deadline is also not fair on those who have committed the cash and changed arrangements!
After the monster turn out last time it is dissapointing!

Maybe because people where awaiting having a spare few quid to pay for it. Not everyone has a money tree in their back yard they can just pluck money off when its needed.

Thats very true although the thread went up on the 10th of January so surely people got paid at least once inbetween then and now?

Re: NorthWest Rolling Road day Saturday 26th March @ Awesome GTI **CANCELLED**

The way it was for me, After Christmas I had a lot to pay for, All the bills take priority over a day out. Got the new car then after that what I had left went to one side for emergency's (Weather it be extra payment here, Parts needed for new car etc).

Had it all worked out so when I got payed on friday i could at least spare £50 to have the day out, In this case the rolling road day.

Now its been cancelled, I treated me and the missus to a meal. So in a way all is not lost.

I'm personally pretty annoyed, that I was willing to travel 2 hours each way to an event well outside my region, and yet a few people can't keep a simple commitment to find £35. It's not much to commit to, more of a sad reflection. Same goes for people attending meets, actual turnout is often dismal and full of crap excuses.

Awesome are actually stopping RR events but they want 10 paid deposits to guarantee it will go a head so they can sort staffing and get everything in place. Usually i gather that the RR guys dont work weekends so we cant just turn up and run. If you wanted a remap or anything to happen with the RR they you usually prebook with them anyway. I can see there point tho as and this is a good example of when it goes pete tong!

Deadline or not of 5pm on friday this thread has been up since 10/1/2011 and i have sent several pm's so there has been plenty of time. EVEN with the people that have come forward to say they called that only makes 9 and therefore not enough to take place.

This is indeed shocking. Only just seen this thread.

I think people don't understand the hard work and hastle people go to when arranging events.
