My first meet last night with the Mig crew and in all honesty i didnt find it too welcoming couple of Nice Astras though (Kev and Tom i think?)

white combo, and my m8 was in the silver corsa sport on the white wheels m8, ye wasnt a big turn out, i think if there was more people there it would of been alot easier to talk to people as the people there seemed to know eachother, may not be the case will still attende any other on the horizon tho

That seems to be the problem with this region tbh, count how many replies there are in this thread then count how many people actually bothered to turn up, not even half !

The location Kev and Nige have found is great although maybe a night time meet isnt such a good idea IMO.

Kev and Nige are co-ordinators, they co-ordinate meets, they are not there to hold your bleeding hand if you cant be bothered to introduce yourself. Are they mind readers?

EDIT: I will PERSONALLY make a point of walking around asking EVERYONE if they are there for the MIG meet next time, just for a laugh. Just so that no-one can use that same excuse in future? I propose that the next meet is at Alton Towers? lmao

Sorry if I sound like a sarcastic ****, which I am TBH, but the first time I went to anything whilst a member of MIG was to Billing in about 2005? I turned up not knowing a soul, camping for the weekend (I had met Dave Broomfield once previously IIRC but didn't see him all weekend!). I put the effort in to get to know people, I didn't expect them to come over and say Hello (although, maybe they should as co-ords TBH?) but it is hard to judge when people are mainly in a pub.

I know Nige said he made an effort with a group and kind of got blanked so maybe cry that he didn't gang rape you all or something?

Wasn't playing pool at all you assumed wrong, we pulled up to a carpark full of cars with nobody outside we travelled an hour and don't know a soul are we meant to walk into a pub and start asking around!!

The organisers had a chat with people then knew then walked off there was 5 or 6 people there who knew anyone it was far from welcoming!

Why thank you. I was the one in the non-vauxhall by the way. I was also the one that turned up knowing really only Kev TBH. Strangely I didn't only speak to Kev.

Genuine point and I am not a co-ord but next meet I honestly will make a point of going around and asking people who they are incase they are too shy etc? An hour where did you come from? I was home in just under 25 minutes but I was driving like a sodding weapon! lmao In a **** slow Metro.

Granted not a massive turn out the problem is and hence i bumped the thread is people say they will turn up and then dont bother, makes it hard to meet and chat people along with other things ill come to!

Very valid point by wayne here BUT next meet WILL be different granted September i wont be there as i am away but Nige will be! we need help guys we cant do it all on our own there is no I in TEAM! and the region is basically a team
