Some powerful cars at the meets.

I'm looking to organise a rolling road shootout between the northwest members.

No date yet or location, but im thinking of the new K&N rolling road in warrington centre.

They can deal with 8 cars a day, so limited places.

I will be taking deposits from people who are serious, make sure this rolling road happens.

P.s no Evo's lmao

I'll probably be up for going again (car pictured above) - but will need to know when and price - hopefully will have the cam's in by then.

So far have had the car r/r each time I have added any significant mods at the above R/R - they only give a whp so no guestimates on the flywheel figure. They do use a wideband to monitor AFR, but they are not engine tuners! The r/r is part of K&N's research and development department so don't expect them to point anything out on your car. They use it to test cars after/during development of new filters.

Here is a copy of an email i recieved from them a couple of weeks back with regards to my local motor club but all applies!

"I would like to introduce myself Steven henstock (workshop Manager) and our company Tunit.

Tunit are a performance company that supply specialist performance services, one of which is a 1000 hp Rolling Road Dynomometer . We specialise in offering dyno `Dyno Days for Clubs and organisations`.

The TunitTunit dyno is unique in this country and operates with the use of a single large roller as opposed to two small rollers. This avoids the normal wheel slip that is usually experienced with conventional dynos. The Tunit dyno will measure accurately up to 1000 bhp and 3800 Nm of torque with no slipping or loss of readings and doesn't require extensive strapping or weighting of the car.

We have found that many club members require this level of accuracy when periodically testing their vehicles after modifications without the risk of incorrect measuring because of slip.

The Tunit dyno is heavily engineered with extreme precision. Calibration is checked on a regular basis and accuracy is always within 1.2 %.

If your vehicle requires power testing, we can offer the service on a club or group basis at a price of £25.00 + vat per vehicle for groups of 8 cars or more. (normal price is £55.00+vat). We have large premises that can accommodate many vehicles inside and out. Other services available are DVD's and photographs of the day (if requested in advance) Seating is provided and catering vans are also welcome(by arrangement). If you wish to make it a meeting venue for your club then we can easily accommodate other stalls and stands.

If you wish to know any further details or to arrange use of the dyno, then please call myself on 01257 274100. In the meantime you may want to follow the link below which gives you a small demonstration movie of the dyno.

http://www.tunitdyno.co.uk/dynotest.mpg (this is an mpeg file and can be viewed with the free quicktime player available from here http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/standalone/)

Yours Sincerely

For and on behalf of Tunit Performance Service
Mr Steven Henstock
Workshop manager"
No thanks Chris
