Stage Layout.
King's Parade at New Brighton is a public road open all year round with the exception of when the venue is in
use for special events. These events include Sprinting, The Wirral Show and of course Rallying. The road
surface is therefore typical of what you drive on day to day - real tarmacadam !
The road system around the Promenade is varied, with the width of road ranging from single carriageway to
dual carriageway width, natural corners include fast and open bends to hairpin and tight hairpins. Throw in
seven roundabouts, which are used on the rally in many different ways and a couple of chicanes and it all adds
up to a real challenge.
Stage length ranges from 3.5 miles for the shorter stages to 4.5 miles for the majority of stages
