Hi mate am in the Ashington area. As for the vxr love it. Car is standard full leather 18's only thing thats been added is power fold mirror's and cruise control its on a 57 plate only done 14,800 mile and its on the second gearbox other one had the dreaded M32 death whine lol. still don't think the new one is right just think that the M32 is a poor box compared to the old f20/f28 boxs. Good old vauxhall make them with cheaper crap and sell them for more lol

As for the calibra well too many mods to list lol had the car for 13 years and it's only done 44,000 mile's started life as a 8v then many years later thought it would be good to go turbo power was but cost a bloody fortune long story lol
with the weather getting better would be good to get a few to meet up for a bit banter on.

hello gary, your just through the tunnel from me mate, im from south/shields.

sounds like a nice vxr , the big question i forgot to ask mate is colour ? yeah alot of M32 boxes are going , is a shame really as they are such a great car, owned mk3gsi/mk4gsi
mk4 2.2 sri , and now the vxr, like your self love it, been told to put the F28 box in it, but i will miss my 6th gear , but if mine does go i'll get the F28 box ,

Hi mate as for the gearbox's don't know if the F28 would fit or not but if it did thay are a 6 speed box only problem with the F28 now is getting a good one because of the age of them
as for the north east RO not sure. do you use vxr online its quite a good site too.

roll on the good weather and billing too never got the vxr to billing last year because of the gear box getting changed. Been to billing loads of times with the cailbra on the club calibra stand might look at putting the astra on the mig stand this year

yeah the F28 will fit gary , been told by a good source , which advised me to go for the F28 befor i go stage 3 end of april, i was meaning the F28 do not have 6th gear , yeah i use vxroline, my name is VXR paul on there mate whats your's ? , but having problems getting back on at the moment lol,

yeah heard billing is good, very good,

i am looking to get to a few events this year, all booked up paid for PVS never been befor so thought i would try it , see whats on show.

well i'll post a thread end of april for a meet when the better weather is here, like said mate bring on the summer .

Hi mate yes i know who you are now seen your name on vxr online. Mine is the same user name on vxr-online. (Gar)
as for the F28 calibra/cav turbo box thay are 6 speed its the 16v F20 non-turbo box thats 5 speed so you would still have 6 gears. Unless you are on about the F23 gear box from a astra gsi/astra coupe turbo as thay are 5 speed

Hi Paul well as far as i know the F28 is alot stronger than the M32 never here of people having to change them for duff bearings there will be the odd one but most have star ship milage on now unlike the M32 which seem to be failing at very low miles mine went at 12000 miles very poor
i think this is a very poor standard for vauxhall when you think that the vxr is there flag ship model
Not sure if the f28 could be made fit as its not a cable shift box like the newer type
