    Engine conversion companies?

Is there any in the northeast that specializes in engine conversions?

i currently own a 1.2 8v B and im looking for more power now and would like a 1.6 16v fitted but i cannot seem to find anywhere in the NE that does this.

any tips or recommendations are welcome

    Re: Engine conversion companys?

I've done them and used to do them for a living a few year back but getting too many injuries and problems to carry on. If you live local I will be more than happy to show you how to go on if you want to tackle the job yourself.
There are alot of people out there that will take your money off you and give you a **** conversion in return but TBH your better off doing it yourself with some guidance.

not that hard really...from what i remember you can use the 1.2 gearbox and mounts, so in theory you only really need to change the engine and the loom + ECU...but i think the gearbox ratios are much more different to those in what a c16xe uses

i made the mistake of buying a ready done one, i ended up changing the engine after only a few months, never done it before it wasn't that hard with a bit of help, just get some tools, and if anything goes wrong later you can sort it out yours, and you can say i did that.

Get a Small block 1.8 in there.

no more work than the 1.6 but more power.
