say hello!!!

Right people, now we've got things up and running how about we all say who we are and give us a little background about what we do for a living and what we drive and what sort of things we like to do in our spare time!!.
Dont be afraid to ask anything or if you want the region to do for you.

so get going people!!!

So my name steve and i live in meltham, i drive a 97 vectra supertouring 2.0 16v, i work at a car dealership in wakefield. The wife and family take most of my time up but in between i love cars, american football, music and try a bit of photography too!! i'll be trying my best to bring the region the best i can, regular meets plus moving about the area to try to keep everybody happy, so open to new ideas if you want to add to it!!

so come on join in!!!

The North Eastern region never really got off the ground.

im here mate but this really is a crap region and all of the meets that i can remember have been around sheffield area which really isnt in the northeast.
however the one i did go to was at york dragstrip and there was a few turned up for that and i would go to another one if it was arranged aswell cause it was a great day out

Wish they had have been in the Sheffield area as I would have gone to them. That last one I went to was at the Post Office then I think they were planning a rolling road day at Halifax, not really local to me so didn't go.

That is why we should have a Yorkshire region and a North East region. North East is no good for me and a few others that I know.

mmm maybe it would be better if it was split up into north east and yorkshire, i can see peoples point s of view, but i'll try and have a word with tom and then let everybody know whats going on but would still welcome some more good ideas/plans

steve the areas like newcastle, sunderland etc are actually under borders.

I seem to recall that a Yorkshire region was suggested before but was dismissed.

Hey Steve!

I'm Andrew from Huddersfield. I'm a student at Hudds Uni, currently on a placement year as an Engineer at Cummins Turbos (previously Holset).
I drive a Vectra 2.0 16v too, unfortunately its only the GLS model though
I am into quite a bit of stuff - mainly cars, music and computer gaming. My outdoor hobby at the moment is flying kites!

If you get a meet organised, then I'll happily come and say hello

Hi steve
Im Craig from sheffield. Not been on mig long and only really just getting round to checking it out. Im into cars and bikes got a 93 red top calibra at the moment. Id be up for a meet but weekends are best for me so ill keep an eye out.
Im a bit surprised at the negative comments about places not being local, i used to travel all over on the bikes to get to some of the meets and runs out. Even as far as london.
Perhaps members could sugest pubs in their areas that serve good food and have good parking to make a day of it. Perhaps a large twice yearly regional meet as well.
