so as above im gonna order the v6 cams b4 i put the engine as i belive the cambelt is a difficult task. however im still unsure as for which ones to go for. the v6 is the 2.5 version but ive been told that i will be able to fit the four cams out of the3.0 giving me an extra 18bhp....what do u reacon im lost also ordering the 7kg fly (unless my xe one will fit?)...any ideas where i can get them from or is coourtney the best...im in liverpool. help appreciated folks.....Oh lotsa pics will be on there way when the install starts
i have heard that the 3.0 cams are a good mod for the 2.5, modded 3.0 cams give another 1.3 mm of lift and will clash with the pistons if u get the modded 3.0 items. get advice on this first, but i think i'm right on this.
getting the 2.5 cams re-profiled will only give the same lift as standard 3.0 cams depends on how readily available the 3.0 cams are in ur neck of the woods.
knowing what difference the f/road cams did for mine.....go for it!!!!!
cheers mate so what do u suggst, go for the standard, 3.0 ones or get the 2.5 ones reprofiled, id rather buy a set of new 3.0 ones from courtney for £300 but youve just made me weiry? any ideas?
what about the ecu...is it just a case of getting my v6 one chiiped or do i have to try n source anouther one......"cash my be my downfall" appreciated
as above some one must know!!!!! what do i have to do to the ecu on the v6 to bring it upto gsi level? appreciated people
