That list is for the XE. I haven't seen one for the LET yet. I'm sure there's a C20LET website somewhere, so maybe there'd be a list on that.......or, you could set the ball rolling for another list on Mig
lmao i havent got a clue what that means! I know the basics of engines and mechanics and stuff, but im not sure about the technical bits, i figured this site was a good place to learn from.
Problem is ive just recently had this engine conversion done on my corsa and its not running very well at all. The alternator was knackered, but thats sorted now so theres no ecu light coming on, but its still got a nasty misfire. At first i thought it was just due to the exhaust as its a bit of a bodge job consisting of flexipipe and a stock 1.2 8v system (inc. the cat!) but now im not so sure.
The guy that did the conversion knows his stuff and so does my mate, who thinks the car should have a lambda (sp) sensor, but it doesnt and the guy that did the coversion said it never had one and doesnt need it, says only some do. As i previously said the cylinder had is a later spec 1993 one but i havent got a clue what the rest of it is, and neither does the conversion man, its running a coil pack, not a dizzy if that helps.
Cars going to powerflow in burnly for a new exhaust on thurs, and to vaux on fri for a health check, but if anyone could give me some more info on this lambda sensor situation that would be much appreciated.
Depends what the engine came from. There ia a 20XE and a C20XE.The C meaning Cat,and came with a lamba sensor.
There are 2 ECUS as well ,one for cat and one without (lamba support).
Although you can do some wiring in the ecu if you dont want the lamba sensor,as long as you have an AFM (air flow meter) with a screw to alter the mixture.
Theres an how2 on cavweb here but you need to register with cavweb to view i beleive.

if it has coil pack it has lamba..... don't bother going to get it health checked at vaux lmao cause thats the first thing they will say.... also coil pack = late spec loom and it has late spec head... i'd say it's a late spec engine
