So the cars got phase 2 fitted but is only making std boost?

Prolly worth giving em a ring first before adjusting actuator innit, that way if they say yes do it no warranty issues.

Does it not make any difference changing position on power switch?

If you are gonna adjust actuator then just nip out and get a touch up of same colour paint, theyll never know:D

unless theyve read this post and put names to faces

Hi folks,

Iv just fitted phase II chips to my cav. I do not have the i/c or fp regulator. Shall i run it at phase 1 boost??

If so what should it do??? in psi??

18psi over 14psi??

Cheers for the help

New phase 2 comes with a switch, standard or phase 2 boost levels.
If your phase 2 is new it should need a switch, with no switch fitted it MAY run standard boost not phase 2 boost levels and adjusting the actuator will nothing.
lol the actuator has to be adjusted to attain the extra overboost, the standard actuator is indeed only set for normal power.
A stronger actuator is a better way to go as it puts less strain on the wastegate as it holds boost with less resistance:) The only way to get more boost currently is to adjust the actuator.

I used phase 2 chips from Gavin Wallace without the power wheel and had no problems at all for 40,000miles, i did actually buy a stronger actuator in the end which worked really well:)

Obviously but the amount of boost the actuator see's is controled by the amal valve which in turn is controlled by the ecu.

What i was trying to say was the actuator may already be adjusted correctly but the ecu is running in "standard" mode.

Without a switch connected do they run in permanent phase 2 or standard mode??
