Hi folks ,as most of you may or may not know i didnt get my car down to Billing as im om my third wiring loom and ECU.
The lastest one was needed as the previous immobiliser was locked out by an alarm installer.
The newest one i bought from Miles but was for a C16XE,my engine is a X16XE,so i also took Miles AFM,injectors and ECU.
He also sent me up two EGR blanking plugs.
When i put the loom back on i realised the five pin plug from the loom to the EGR was missing. Is it just a case of bunging up the hole and forgetting about it.
Also a few cables look as tho they are short,Lambda sensor,is this as the engine was in a nova, and my old one was out a mk3 Astra?
It also has one relay Pink and doesnt have the tan one,any reason why?
Anyone think of any other probs their might be.
also i got an FPR from Miles as well, whats the best way to fit this?
Cheers

The C16XE didn't have EGR, so there is no part on the loom for it.

You can either remove the valve and put the plate over it or just leave the valve there as it wont function anyway.

Does your lambda sensor connector mate up to the loom ok? If the wiring isn't long enough then it could be due to the fact that its a corsa loom or you might be able to route it differently.

The ECU sits in the drivers footwell as standard on the corsa. On the nova it goes in the passenger footwell but for the time I used it I had it sat in the engine bay.

Not sure about the relays.

The power boost valve should be fairly obvious, remove the standard FPR on the end of the fuel rail. The brass connector on the end of the pipe from the PBV should then fit into the original place, then remove the fuel pipe that was connected to the original FPR and connect the other end of the pipe from the PBV to this. I think thats right.

Good luck,

Miles

The only other thing i can think is different before i start tonight is the trunking, mines has a hole in it for a sensor on the Map censored X16.
Ill tape this hole up and try and put AFM and induction kit on same hose to get it to run,ill let you know how i get on later.

Anyone shed any light on the Injectors? If it dont run ill change them, but would rather know whilst the inlet is off.
Cheers

I did a bit of a blue peter with the trunking, wasnt large enough for the AFM so i snipped it and sealed with a bit if Duk tape.Ill need to get one from a C16XE,either that or get a silicone hose made up for it.
I was also wondering whats connected to the Fuel diafram that is connected to the nylon fuel injection pipe.Is it an air vaccum hose or petrol pipe,i cannot remember what came off there does anyone have any pics of that part of the engine bay.

Also Miles when you say standard FPR where is that?on the right hand side of the fuel rail?
I also extended the lambda cable, just got a few more wires to solder in and its nearly there:D
Lets hope thats the end of my worries with this engine :(
