Me and PeteR and Mart were talking about this at the last meet and yes as far as I know the 1.8 head will give a highter compression ratio and has better flow, so is an easy way of getting more grunt.
PM PeteR as he's got a worked 1.8 head for sale (ported and skimmed I think)
Marts the expert though, probably best to mail him first and ask.
em 1.8E inlet mainfols if way bigger ans chanels are more straught......so if you can get that mainfold any bigger valves you coul get more power.....i am still trying to find out if there can be 2.0 valves fittet into 1.8E head......
i used to run a B reg 1800 sri cav with the 1800e engine
i fitted a 2.0 bottom end out of a 1990 sri mated to the 1800 head using the 2.0 head gasket, timing belt and head bolts
it was a flying machine
highly recommended mod
it will mean using the 1800e inlet and injection system though as it is different to the 2.0
yes that is a god mod,bur can u use 2.0 valves ???i mean can they be fited to 1.8E head???if that is possible to be done then it would be a reallly super flying machine.....
Em 1.8E camshaft is 297°
what is 2.0seh camshaft???
