Whats the standard torque of a 20xe?

Any engine mods will give some increase in torque.

For example I have an exhaust, modded air box (std filter), modded throttle plate, and re profiled cams.

This gives 150 lb-ft and 163 Bhp also the torque curve is flatter then the standard curve.

a change of management gets you to 170ftlb, and 87.5mm pistons, 300+ degree cams, TBs etc will put it up to 190ftlb

a pair of fast road cams (270 degree spec) will give you another 10bhp and a few ftlb while only pushing the power band to 1500-6500
170 sounds good to me, how much u think fully set up?

and i thout if u change the cams it wud just give power and very little torque, and that big 300+cams wer for big ammounts of power up at the top, and naff all torque low down wer u want it???????

cheers
tom

just plug in an mbe 967, cost i guess around 500 odd quid for everything you need (loom, ecu, map)

different profile cams work in different ways, but in all the power band is moved up and this gives higher bhp values (300 degree cams will give a 4000-8500 power band and nothing below that lol, but fast road cams only slightly increase the band to increase the power figures but dont sacrifice lower rev power) thing is its an XE and they have crap power below 2500 revs anyway, just change down lmao

yeah tom, that spec is looking good. groupN rally stylee i like it.
get the piper or kent fast road cams i think they are both 270 profile (not that it actually means the cams have a 270 duration, but thats what they are labelled as)

errrm power should be up near 180bhp and 170ftlb wouldnt you say odders?

i can get pistons for 300 + vat then its around 60 quid for a rebore
if you go for pistons then you might as well get the sbd 285 cams at 400 quid (all prices are for the pair lol) but then you would need pulleys to do some fine adjustments to timing

holy crap bois, some1 get me a bed nva mind a chair.....
....think i need a job as well as my student loan!!!

well the tbs include the ecu, so you are halfway there. just trumpets to get and you will have 220bhp from a nicely rebuilt engine. its a good longterm plan and can be done in 2 stages (the cams NEED the pocketed pistons so you cant get them without spending 400 on fitting omegas)

or go for a spec like mine which i will pm to you
