Last RR day I was at they were trying 0-60 runs with a couple of cav turbos.
They could only hit 58 in 2nd before the rev limiter spoiled the fun. They were on 17" wheels but I dont know the tyre profile.
The owner thought it would hit 60 as his speedo said it would do 60 in 2nd, but speedo innacuracies meant its only doing an actual 58.
Need to raise the rev limit for 60 in 2nd

Lot of people run smaller tyres on 17s cos you can't always get a match

CavT standard 205/50/16

205/40/17 is 2.6% smaller
205/45/17 is 0.8% larger

215/40/17 is 1.2% smaller
215/45/17 is 2.3% Larger

Obviously for acceleration you want smaller, top end larger not that it's a vast difference.

59.1 to 61.1 for the 205s.
59.9 to 62.0 for the 215s.

205/45/17 is the closest match out of them.

Yes it can,

With stock wheels,
Stock tyre size,
Stock rpm (6,800).

Wouldent make sence having to shift to third for a car basically sold on 0 / 60 time (amongst other things of course).

Well as long as that link of Mark CDX V6 is accurate.

My F20 box with the current 15" wheels does do a proven 60mph in second, and i have the graph it anyone wants it posted. I would doubt a standard F28 would be able to as it has longer gear ratio's.

This was on my car Jim at star performance had to drop the 0-60 to 0-58 times just to get a read out,so thet he did not have to change into third gear

I would hope so.... Mark made up the calculator using gear ratio figures from either his own Vauxhall brochures or from information given to him from other ppl's brochures that he didnt have.

They are legit Vauxhall figures he uses. After that, its just a matter of maths.

From you actually mate!!
