Although fitted by the prevous owner, i have porsche 944 ones in the GSi, ive no idea on the cost but bear with me and il ltry to find out over the next cpl of days.
FAO RDS,
how did you supply the extra fueling( if at all) i ended up adding a second pump to achieve proper RR results.
I went to a scrappy today to get some out of a H reg 2.3 saab 9000 turbo thaey had their but when i took em out they werent red and they only had 1 injector hole not 4 like my yellows I was VERY unhappy which registration years am I looking at to get the bosch REDS
The red injectors just drop straight in, and you then reset the ECU and hey presto it all works! lmao The cars done 1000miles and the plugs havent changed in appearance, and the car does feel better at topend, but that is probably pshycological
neo bros, i called them yesterday afternoon....they initially sold them for £50 old set didnt they? as soon as ppl from here started buying them they jumped the price up to £80 they also told me £120 new plus vat...i spoke to a saab spares specialist and they do them for 39 +vat each
I got em for £70 all in plus £35 to clean them properly and fit new o-rings. The £80 saved almost pays for the high flow fuel pump I got
The new price you mention takes it to £185
You might want to get the new injectors flow tested while you are there Yunis as even new injectors can vary wildly.
The flow report on mine showed only a max variartion of less than 2% between injectors. You are gonna be hard pushed to get closer to 0% than that without having a large batch to match perfectly.
Even new (and so called "matched sets") sets can be as much as 10% out of the box
I better just say that these are not my claims but are genuine reports from someone that has cleaned and matched countless injectors over many years.
Just in case anyone thinks I am making wild claims again
Bloke from neo bros was in my shop today as im only 1/2 mile down road from them, so i asked him bout these injectors.
He say that the reds from the 2.3T are the most popular but if you really want serious xtra fuelling then the bosch black ones with a blue stripe round em from the earlier 2.3 Carlson model are the ones to go for. Much higher flow rate and cos theyre from an earlier model theyre cheaper too, old or new set. No price off of top of his head though.
why would a 2.3l carlton have high flow fuel injectors?? Im a little lost at that as the engine only produced 140bhp?? why would it have high flow injectors for??
early carltons were carb fed. unless you mean the early carltons as in late ones lmao
