I want to put the filter directly on a turbo.
What buggers me is: Do I keep the existing pipe-from the top of inlet manifold- or should I order a new one to be made??? I mean, is there a way to bend the old pipe to the other side????
Yeah! just like that!!! As I can see, u used the existing piping, didn´t you???
Oh, and what about cold air feed?? Did u put a pipe, or u left it like it was???
Nope! Tomorrow won´t do! I can´t find a pipe today.... You know, the thin one, which is about 15 cm standard, but u (Kris) put a longar one, about 40 cm....
I can´t find a longer one, so my relocation will have to wait until next week. Monday, Tuesday....
But, I´ve decided to do it, so I will!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, yeah! Just remembered....
I de-catted my Corsa, and I´m sooooooo happy with the way my diesel sounds....
I put a stainless pipe from turbo to backbox, and it sounds gr8!!!!
I recommend it to everyone!!!
Did it yesterday!!!! It´s stil kinda messy, did a few tricks... But the difference is really huge! Now I can hear my engine roaring, and not only the exhaust. Alltogether!!!!
Great!!!!
couple of questions: do u no why the intake manifold is different on the corsa's than on the nova's and de-catting the exhaust dows this cause problems at mot time and where do get the exhausts from?
any help would be great!!
\Dave/
Well, in Croatia is the same as in UK about MOT... The car fails without a cat... But, around here, u give man a tenner, and he let´s u go.... Or, u just put the cat back for the mot... I highly recommend taking the cat off.... The difference is real huuuuuge.....
No more "diesel power" laughs... He he! Now it´s a head turner.... Especially knowing that some people round here still think that Golf Mk1 1.6d is the best....
Don´t know bout the manifold...
inlet is different cos the novas airbox is on the other side of the engine bay. dont strictly need a cat on a diesel to pass emissions test but by law it must have one.
the diesel cat is is only there to reduce the smoke a diesel engine throws out... mine seems to be failing in that department a.t.m lmao
but as u say, it has to be there for the mot.
