im wanting to do a LET conversion into my astra. what parts can i use from the calibra onto my astra and what parts would i need to buy for the conversion??
what is included with engine:
starter, alternator, loom, ecu, distributor, leads, coil, shafts, radiator and intercooler, airflow meter and performance filter, all sensors and pipe work inc turbo down pipe
i dont think that the F28 gearbox would be included so i would need to source one and get it converted for FWD. so really its a pretty straight forward swap then??
Yeah its pretty straight forward, nothing major. You'll need an exhaust made up or make one yourself, thats about it really.
I'd recommend using the LET rad and mounting it right under the slam panel, make sure the fan you use is metal. If you can source a nice big intercooler then do so as the airflow to the LET one when placed in the Astra is minimal.
yep the dremmil or angle grinder will work but lets remember its a conversion to fwd so the exaust system is totaly different, exaust ports are the same dimmentions its just the track they follow ie:- inline is a side output fwd is a front/rear
ok cheers guys, what size bore is the exhaust as i already have a 3inch bore from manifold (i think its 3") or will this just not fit at all??
