Im running an Evo2 set, and it does exactly what it says on the tin - raises the overboost and steady boost levels, though I've not tried the increased rev limit ( 7250 )
got vmax chips and sent them back! 400 quid for 2 chips
for 399quid from regal i got eds 3+ chips, new plugs BRAND NEW FPR(not a second hand squashed one) and the mod for the actuator so you dont have to preload the **** out of it! car now puts out a proven 300 bhp even with a small charge cooler. if i had a big fmic it would probably be more! and the best part about it is i can put it back to standard power at the flick of a switch.
Id be amazed if there was any significant difference between EDS and VMAX, they are both just trying to make the best of what hardware is available.
Personally i think its worth the extra money for decent programmable management though.
Hi, Well i have been out in a friends cally [FATZ] who is running the evo 5 kit and all i can say is................................ F*** Thats fast.
So i love it now im getting it for mine .
I cant belive how it pulls!!!! Pulls like a bitch.
Its got to be one of the fastest cally turbo ive ever been in.

i have 2 x calibra turbos
i have the eds phase 2 (very quick)
and then had the eds phase 3 (even quicker)
but i sold the eds phase 3 chips because i wasnt happy with the power delivery.
and i went on to buy a set of VMAX evo5 chips from wallace
and believe me when i tell you that it now drives with the responsiveness of a motorbike and its the only kit that makes full proper use of my turbo
Its easy for me to say its fast but its not so easy to assure you that its a beast and you to believe it.
I have run this kit since it came out and the engine is soooo strong pulling its literally unbelieveable.
it makes the phase 2 calibra ive got feel like a 1.3 litre nova (good for sunday sprints)
read into it what you will
i use vmax evo 5 and i been driving "c20 let's" for 11 years
but the one i have now is the fastest "let2 ive ever driven

btw Ian when you went in my car i wasnt in position 4 i was only in position 3 if you remember i had that coil problem all fixed now with a new C4 performance coil

I would still like to see some rolling road figs for these kits. There seems such a paucity of information with respect to the V-max stuff. Glad you all seem pleased with it any how
ill get to the rolling road withing the next few weeks as i have been way way to busy with my business and holidays to get anything done on the car
and it seems to have been living in the bodyshop
should be painted and back with me soon.

For now, the thing i'm not liking is the delay... in delivering my parts... but has soon has i've got it fitted you will ear from me... has my understanding of foruns and internet is to share info... good or bad!

In bits mate. I was tunning her up and it hit a skip at 70, mph.
My son thought it was funny , But i didnt as it was my pocket that had to pay. lol
She will be back on the road soon, After my holiday in CUBA. HEHEHEHE
Aswell as the evo 5 kit. hehehehe.
Ohh and i still need to get a new turbo.
well i can reccomend the TD132 turbo dynamics turbo
it seems to pull amazingly at 18 psi and have to say that even at 22psi ovberboost its pulling like a steamtrain and will hold 17-19 psi depending on gear
but it never seems to be out of the power range and its great
i love my setup and im gonna be hard pushed to ever change it
its never been better mate
only problem i had was when they sent the C4 coil back saying they had tested it and all was good at their end.
i fitted it to my car again and blew another coil amplifier up on the car
so 3 coil amplifiers and 2 coils later life is sunny again
btw i find what youve said earlier about at lower boost the kit is faster than the phase 3 im gonna have to agree with that.
its amazingly quick even at 10psi that its hard to imagine that theres a fistfull of boost and power to be gained by turning it up.
i was thinking of running it at 14psi just to prolong longetivity of all components . (nah!!!)

Interesting stuff here... I'm still on phase 3.5, haven't yet sampled the Vmax stuff.
