i am having trouble with my astra gsi. i had problems before with it not firing up but i got it going eventually. now ive just tried to go out in it and it wont fire up at all now. i dont have the means to look at the fault codes so could any one please suggest any things for me to look at first. it just turns over and over and over again dunno what to do next. ive cleaned all the sensors apart from the crank sensor.
Fuel injection relay? or Imobiliser faulty?
Have you removed the little cap on the fuel rail and carefully pressed the little valve in to see if there is fuel pressure in the rail?
people generally replace them with new.
You can open it to see if you can see naything but chnces are its duff.
Could try giving it a slight tap to see if its sticking.
when relays go faulty - it doesn't necessarily mean the coil will stop working - the solder joints on the pcb inside go dry - and there is only a 1 in 3 chance of it being one which will stop the relay clicking.
they can be repaired usually - best thing is buy a new one and keep the old one in the glovebox for when the new one goes faulty.
found out what the problem was, nothing do with any of em lmao. its was water that had go in through the gsi bonnet vents and got into the crank sensor, i opened it up and water just poured out of it, sprayed some WD40 in it pluged it back in and it fire up staight away
it was underneath the induction kit, i moved it to under the inner arch
