    Multi Car Policy?

Ok I am currently with Chris Knott and i havent spoken to them yet but im looking into getting another car at the moment and wondered how multi car policies work?

I have a vectra at the moment i use as a daily to work and back, going the shops just the usual but im looking to get a car to use in the summer when the weather is nice, for shows along the odd track day & my annual homage to the ring. I want limited mileage as it will not be out in winter at all and only used every so often but what is the best way of insuring them both together as the other car im looking at wont be cheap to insure on its own and its not a cheap car!

If you were to get a proper car ie none of this modern rubbish then you could blag a classic policy.

Having the E30 on a classic policy and the Vectra on my main policy works out cheaper than when the E30 was my only car on the main policy. Plus you have the benefit of most things over 20 years old become quite cool now .
That said however, if you choose the right newer car you might be able to still get it on classic insurance. Bear in mind it wouldn't be as cool as a Chevette with an XE on 45s though.

Ah, no classic coolness then .

In that case, the only experience I've had with multi car type policies was that they asked for no claims for each car which seemed silly. That could have just been a one off though.

Ecar do multi car policies where you can just change the car online or add the car whenever as long as you're over 25. They could be worth a try. They also have the benefit of being pretty cheap, or at least they were.
