| sorry....looks too japanese for me, but then again all new stuff is starting to look the same, all you do is go to dealer & tell them what colour you want & what badge you want on it because they are all now made by computer lol |

| I just saw a 3 door last Friday. I must say it looks really good. I want one. Pity I can't afford it and a pity they won't be out for a while. Incase anyone wants to know where I saw it it was a demonstration car that some of the garages over here have and it was drving past where I work. |

| Pete1,
Would like to know what you think of 1.8 engine. I've got 1.6 Design and think it needs more power as it's just as heavy as my Audi Coupe and that's got 175bhp!
Shame the engine choice wasn't mine as needed an auto and went for Easytronic instead of slush box.... Roll on the 2.0 Turbo Easytronic!
Any other Mk5 owners out there? Shall we start a meet on our own?

| Astra Mk5 Bought a 1.6 16v astra club with easytronic gearbox in Jan 2005, must admit i've only done around 2500 miles or so it it but i'm impressed so far for sure yeah the gearbox can sometimes have it's quirks (loss in power etc) but overall even before I started modding the body etc it still looks the dogs B******** |

| I'm new to this but have a 7 month old astra 1.8SRi. I'm having loads of problems with it, ABS light on, cruise control not working, alarm going off, not starting and engine management light flashing, fuel warning light not reading correct, radio not working and flat spot on initial pull away. All of these faults are very intemittent, but nontheless iritating. Dealer cant trace any of the faults as they are intemittent.
Has anyone had similar experiences or can offer any help
Cheers
Steve |

| Fonzy,
Did you buy it from a Citroen dealer by any chance ?
( I'll be sticking with my Cav TD...minimal electronics, maximum reliability ) |

| Well as an owner of one of these little 5-door Turbo versions in South Africa, I'm more than happy with my car... bought it for an everyday commuter with go, so it'll get some small mods and a Steinmetz kit later on. Should look something like this.

| I have 2004 Club Turbo diesel, it was good at first it turned heads but now its becoming run of the mill. Good styling, excellent performance, 6 points to prove it! But the interior is poorly designed, no storage space, no cup holders, sun catches your eyes even with the sun visors down out of the corners and from the rear mirror gaps. I have an Audi A3 (wife does) and that’s been well thought-out for long distant driving something Vauxhall need to learn. |
