| Re: What Brand Will Your Next Car Be? i'll be keeping my V6 Astra MK3 as my own runabout, but seriously thinking of kicking the Omega 2.5 V6 into touch...... with a nice W reg Omega Elite Estate 3.0.
I don't think Vauxhalls are the best cars in the world, but i'm fairly confident and comfortable taking them apart and putting them back together again without having to ask a million questions before I can get the airgun out.
I've had lots of other makes and models, don't mind modern Fiats, don't mind modern Fords, just that ever since the year 2000, i've point blank refused to have a car that I have to take to someone else to fix because of exhorbitant costs in doing so.

| Re: What Brand Will Your Next Car Be? There are a million and one different types of car out there, some of them fantastic motors but I don't think I can bring myself to drive one without the griffin badge.
Next motor will no doubt be a vauxhall. |

| Re: What Brand Will Your Next Car Be? just done it, im afraid ive bought a non vaux, bought myself a nice honda del sol 1.6 vtec. Simply becuase im fed up with my last two vauxhalls breaking down all the time, my sisters vauxhall breaking, and my dads omega breaking down, so ive had to go for something a little bit more reliable. Still got the old corsa though, not selling it just yet

| Re: What Brand Will Your Next Car Be? Interesting thread.
After only ever driving Vauxhalls, I took a leap of faith and bought a Golf GTi 18mths ago. Have to say the Germans take some beating.
My next car will definatly be a VW. No questions.
The other half drives a Golf GT TDi, and its just so good at everything, carries 5 people in comfort, reasonably quick and with the VF engine 60mpg is achieveable.
Just suits our needs perfectly.
We have fond memories of our Vauxhall days, in particular my Turbocharged cars. I miss the rush that my Vauxhall's used to provide.
I love the fact things are simple.
After driving only ever driving one brand, i was nervous about changing brands beacuse of knowledge etc... But the internet helps with that.
But I guess you look at things that your budget allows, and suits your suitation.
Definatly a VAG whore now! |

| Re: What Brand Will Your Next Car Be? What do you guys think about theAstra Twin Top? I went to the local Vauxhall Dealers, (Crown Motors) and saw the Astra Twin Top, got quite impressed with the quality of the fittment, and finish, the seatrs were fabric in Black charcoal and the whole car looked very stylish, the dashboard is brilliant, seats and other soft furnishing real good, the roof is electro-hydraulic and opens in about 30 seconds and gets tucked into the boot.
Comes with 4 different engine versions, I will probably go for the 2L Ecotech Turbo (200BHP turbo) witha top speed of 147mph and to 60 in 8.3 sec, about what my currebt ecotech Calibra does.
Price about £22K, I don't think you get a better car with such a performance for that price.

Negotiating with the dealer on an interest free loan!!! |
