Engine
Later type dizzyless C20XE 'redtop' engine from an Astra GSi.
Balanced and polished crank
Pocketed pistons
K&N cone filter (soon to be replaced with a standard airbox of some sort)
Cold air feed made from 2 bits of hoover tube.
Standard XE manifold -> Magnex stainless centre section -> Janspeed stainless 3" round backbox.
Stainless exhaust manifold heatshield.
Transmission
Standard 5 speed gearbox (F20)
Suspension
G(ay)Max shocks and springs. Not really designed to cope with the extra weight up front so I want to replace at least the front springs with Courtenay ones.
OMP adjustable strut brace.
Brakes
Astra GSi 256mm vented disks, calipers. Unknown pads. Braided hoses at the front, standard hoses and drums at the back.
Wheels & Tyres
15" Astra Sport alloys with Toyo Proxes T1-S tyres in 195/50/15 size.
Styling
Nova GSi front and rear bumpers, no skirts, clear side repeaters. "2.0 16v" badges on the back. De-locked. Stainless bonnet struts.
Interior
Completely standard blue and grey SR interior apart from an Astra GTE digi-dash and Cavalier/Astra mk3 stalks.
ICE & Security
JVC CD player. Standard Vauxhall speakers. Remote central locking with CAT1 alarm.
Performance
Rolling roaded at 163bhp @ 5650rpm, torque 170lb/ft (i think this might be a bit optimistic). 1/4 mile and 0-60 times to follow soon. I would guess the 0-60 time would be somewhere around the 6 second mark. Top speed to date - 140mph(indicated).
