Wouldn't insure with them again. Took over two month to get paid out after my accident even tho the other person admitted liabilty.
They were sound as a pound for me. Beat my best quote by 200£ And I can have most of my future planned mods for free.
Which included a roll cage.. other companies went flippin mad when I asked about that!
I just had an interesting talk with HIC. They are apparently the sister company to Adrian Flux! Bizaar! Also they quoted through a different company (not Highway). So why are they nearly £300 more expensive than Adrian Flux???? The guy still tried to sell the policy though! Yeah rite! Exactly the same cover except HIC offered track cover.
Rang Insurance Factory, wouldn't even quote for me when I told em what my cheapest quote was!
If my post contains the line 'Last edited by Nemesis;' Then don't trust anything above, as I didn't write it.
Mine was underwritten by Chaucer. Don't remember who my AF quote was underwritten by...
HIC insure my MK1 Astra Turbo inc all mod's (272bhp) for £230 fully comp![]()

try direct line. i assumed that cos their quite big the prices would be high but i pay £900 a year 3rd party for my calibra. i know that sounds quite high but bear in mind that im only 21, ive no no-claims discount and 3 points (sp30)!
What do you think HIC are like with ppl with more than 10 points? I have just been round the clock - back to 0 now but with a TT99 scar. I have 4yrs no claim coming up and im 22. Gonna be fun!!! I am married now though...

Connected me to a call center in India ? and were more expensive than Norwich union Direct
i pay 186 quid on my corsa (huge spec) (4 years NCB) and 300 on my astra (but i have no NCB on this one)
Only problem I have with HIC is they charge £25 to change your car!

Im insured with HIC have been for over a year. They seemed cheap last year and renewal was good this year. Im 22, 9pts, 2 years NCB and i pay £450 to insure my calibra TPFT.
Just signed up with HIC for the next yr...
did some phoning around and HIC, Adrian Flux were the top two... Played one off against the other and got fully comp £334.?? for a Cav Mk3 SRi 8v... 16v conv, lowered, leather, bodykit, 5 stud, blah blah blah!
That'll do me!![]()
HIC is a sister company to Adrian Flux IIRC.
You are correct, BUT Adrian Flux do not offer agreed valuations, or driving any vehicle 3rd party under 25yo.
My premium with AF was £930, No AV, or TP other vehicles, HIC £1030 with AV, and TP other vehicles, but £475xs!
I'm 23, 6y PNCB, no points, fully declaird mods, eek!!, the price you pay for a modded car! I'm getting a quick standard car next year as having to buy a house!

You also can't play AF off against HIC!

I found AF quotes silly. Im a member of PNG, have been for nearly 3 years and AF are "recommened" by the group. Phoned them for a quote on my nova and it was nearly double what i payed with HIC!
With HIC im insured to drive other cars TPO, no AV, not sure what my XS is though.
thats funny cause i've just had an agreed value pay out from Adrian Flux!Originally Posted by Nobbie
You are right though about the driving of other vehicles 3rd party

i play them off against eachother every year
This is why i hate insurance companies, they're always changing the goal posts, i was told that from 6 months ago they no longer offer AV's.Originally Posted by Matt Johnson
I did play them off a little, but it makes sense to pay a bit more,. and get alot more, i.e. 3rd Party, and AV. HIC only charge about £18 for an AV!
