I have changed the way the site calculates the number of users online. As a result, this number is now lower than previously. This does not mean that there are less people here than before. Don't get the impression that the place is being desserted - there will be just as many posts as before.
This was changed to help reduce load on the server.

| Is this server going to be
1) Reliable?
2) Fast, in the medium/long term?
3) Permanent? (ie we won't be moving again for a while)

| The server is a Dual 2.6ghz Dual Core Xeon server (yes, as in two Dual Core CPUs) with 2GB DDR2 Ram and 2x SCSI hard drives.
It should be good for the foreseable future.
Missing features and post limitation will go back to normal once I have finished setting up the server. | |
