rodgerq | i dont pay for lag... i use an avatar on every other site for free...go like vxon and have a minimum post count or something. plus being as i lost me job recently i cant really justify random mig memberships

| well its not like having an avatar is gony increase your mig surfing enjoyment anyway is it? fair enough if you cant justify spending money on the membership. although the post count idea is decent i must admit.

| I beleive they are in the states but the server Mike has arranged is dual core somethingorother, with SCSI hard drives (which i do understand are faster than normal drives)

| Yeah I can remember talking to Mike about the last spec - was dual 2.8 xeon's with Raid 5 SCSI etc iirc, its a pretty good spec but I don't really think it was the server that was the problem its the hosting companies bandwidth issues, big timeouts etc must mean they have a lot of high bandwidth servers running on a smaller web link or something...
Well anyway Dual Core cpu's are onwards and upwords, just hope they got a lot of available bandwidth as Mig is a very busy site |

| Although many updates have been done - they are not complete. We also still have to move to the new server. This means that there is more downtime to come over this weekend.

| All the updates are done, but we are still on the old server. Due to some problems, I've had to put the move off till next weekend now. |
