Exclamation New Items For Sale Forum Feature.

As of today - in order to post adverts in the Items For Sale section of the site, you must have been registered on MIGWeb for at least 60 days and have at least 50 posts.

New users will still be able to post wanted ads can cars for sale ads as these carry less risk to other users. New Users will also be able to reply to existing ads in the Items For Sale section.

We will also be implementing a Trader Rating system soon.

How about a thread lock option once the item is sold (like cavweb) saves having old posts bumped

Trader rating - GOOD!

Thread locked option by starter - GOOD! (This could save time for the admin staff if the thread could be closed by the person selling the item.)

I think the amount of posts should be increased to 100 though. Just my opinion though.

Do the 50 posts need to be in one of the technical forums, or can somebody post jokes and cr@p all day and still achieve the required rating?

****ing top idea's - should clean out some of the ****!

Especially the thread lock option. Maybe make it available to the thread posted - once item is sold they can lock it themselves?

The 60 days is an excellent idea, that combined with the 50 posts should see off the spammers.

I agree with rob on the 100 post part! Anyone can post 50 in a day. 100 will show some dedication and make more people feel relaxed dealing with that person. The seler rating seems a great idea, same with the thread lock m8. Cool. I personally get there home address n tel number before dealin with anyone. Makes me feel better..

looks like people are already posting things for sale in the wrong forum (styling) to bypass the 50 post & 60 day ruling.

p.s dont mean to be a grass but i think the new rules are a very good idea if it protects our hard earned cash.

They may feel they will get a better price here. Or have something for an let that people in here go crazy over. Most people dont know these terms so if they advertised somewhere else they might not get as good a reaction.. Its too easy to offer something for sale on this forum anyway. Some security!

ffs whats the matter with a joke, A bit fun, some of you need to chill out a little, Some take life to serious, And what may be crap to some may not be for others, What you dont like some ppl might, If you r going to be picky about stuff then it could go on and on and on.

u should look into something like this

http://www.securehosting.com/sh2/upg.htm

good way for mig members to pay subs or new members to pay and at the same time their credit cards can be verified, upon being verified they are allowed to sell / buy stuff on the forum

How about Migclub members only to sell goods, that way admin would have address and details of the seller in case things go bad!!

Migclub member only to sell goods would be one more reason to join Mig!

Just a idea!
