i view this as a web based community and making the for sale section members only seems a bit elitist to me

i like using mig but i dont see any point in becoming a paid up member as i see too many older members moaning about lack of benefits and my bro who is a member has only recieved 1 out of date migmag in his membership pack and heard nothing since

(PS this is my GF's account, i normally post under aragorn and have been around for yonks)

Oh - if I didn't say, MIGClub members will get instant access to the for sale forum once they join - no posting or waiting.

Sounds like a really good idea. Will save the odd cheeky t**t posting up stuff for sale. The trader rating is a good idea as well. Nice to see MIG moving forward.

We are also considering a trader forum.

I like the 50 posts + 60 days idea.

Trader rating is a good idea. Only thing is I'm assuming this means everyone has to start from scratch? Eg: Some people have been selling for years, others are new ... so someone who's on the Recommended Sellers List will have the same "zero" rating as a new member?

PS: Do you mean a system as on the Talk Audio forums? http://www.talkaudio.co.uk/classifieds/

We should be able to help if a member creates a problem as we should have their full address and phone number.

You only need 3 more posts!

We will review the system in a while once it has had time to settle.

Liking the 50 posts and 60 days idea

Why not make it a rule that any non-members, have to submit their address to admin before their 'for sale' thread can become live? But then I guess there is no way of detecting false address'.

Could have them phone admin from a land line, that way you could....... I'm just waffling now!
