As of today - in order to post adverts in the Items For Sale section of the site, you must have been registered on MIGWeb for at least 60 days and have at least 50 posts.
New users will still be able to post wanted ads can cars for sale ads as these carry less risk to other users. New Users will also be able to reply to existing ads in the Items For Sale section.
We will also be implementing a Trader Rating system soon.
Sounds like a really good idea. Will save the odd cheeky t**t posting up stuff for sale. The trader rating is a good idea as well. Nice to see MIG moving forward.
Trader rating is a good idea. Only thing is I'm assuming this means everyone has to start from scratch? Eg: Some people have been selling for years, others are new ... so someone who's on the Recommended Sellers List will have the same "zero" rating as a new member?
i think it is a good idea i have been stung once but the member bit shouldnt be compusory i was a member for two years but did nor renew due to cash and baby not being able to go to meets or shows but i am still a good seller
fair enough but whos to say they havent used a familys cc or what ever to join up and whos to say just coz they have payed doesnt mean they arent going to ripp anybody off ?? lets face it there are some arseholes that do this sort of thing now and then that fk it up for everybody else

nice idea but shouldnt it just apply to new members ive been using this site for a long while now and sold quite a few items to happy customers never had a problem then all of a sudden cant post anything for sale
kinda sucks i know i only got 3 posts to go like.
Why not make it a rule that any non-members, have to submit their address to admin before their 'for sale' thread can become live? But then I guess there is no way of detecting false address'.
Could have them phone admin from a land line, that way you could....... I'm just waffling now!
That's good to hear, at least I'm not completely off my trolly
