Originally removed from a Cavalier GSI 2000 and currently in my Corsa XE. Mileage is unknown but having fitted a new head gasket to this recently I have inspected the bores. There is no lip at the top and the cross hatch markings are all visible on the liner walls. The engine fires up on the button. Does not smoke. Does not rattle in any way shape or form other than how it is intended to. Does not knock from cold or when warm.
It is a 1989 engine which has the original Coscast head fitted with 13mm guides. It also features the lighter crank and forged Mahle pistons. Original early engines like this are becoming harder to find now.
Cambelt, idlers, water pump, bottom pulley bolts and head bolts are brand new. The rocker gasket is also new.
I can supply a known working XE ECU (either Cav or Astra MK2) and a loom with it and an exhaust manifold too.
Please note the starter motor and alternator and mounts are NOT included as they are being transferred over to the new engine.
Those who have bought from me before know that what I say it is............it is and if there are any problems I will sort. I am not about to BS and say the engine has done *84K* or was removed from a *LOW MILEAGE ASTRA GTE* which tend to be the firm favourites on Ebay.
£300 takes it away.
I'm based in the middle of nowhere known as Gloucestershire. Nr M4 and M5 sort of.
