Refurbished Coscast XE head with bronze valve guides and Kent valve spring set.

Standard port early XE Coscast head. Has a set of 13mm bronze valve guides.

Cam caps ARE present. Just not in photos!

Springs are Kent competition singles. Again, good for higher lift fast road camshafts but are ok for use on standard cam profiles if need be.

The head has already been modified to run Piper 285 camshafts. Anyone who has used these before (from blanks) will tell you they do not spin freely when you fit them to a standard head. The lobes foul on the head casing on the spark plug side. A small amount of metal needs taking out of the exhaust side (I THINK. Completely forgot to take note). This has already been done on this head so will need no further modification. Also still suitable for standard cams by the way.

Head now back after being stripped, de-coked, valves re-lapped, pressure tested etc. Will come with new stem seals and will have had a very light skim to make nice and neat. All waterways are in good order on this head. Far more so than the one I am having welded at the moment! It is worth noting the exhaust guides have been replaced with one inlet guide too and has had two new valves.

Nice one cheers Mike. It's had two replacement valves and one guide since.

Still available and also have a near identical one with standard GM springs and an unmodified cam carrier area at £250.

Both supplied with lifters and camshafts if necessary.
