Astra mk3 Fiberglass bonnet potential group buy

Ive had a fiberglass bonnet made up for the Astra mk3. Its the GSI style bonnet.

These are going to be a lightweight version so it wont have any of the frame on the underside. You will neeed to use bonnet pin's or the such to fit these.

The GSI vents will not be included as they are light anyway. But the holes will be there so all you will need to do is fit your vents. These will de a direct fit like the standard bonnet.

So in short you will get a gsi lightweight fiberglass bonnet without gsi vents.

You will need to drill your own holes for the washer jets. There will be a small indent for the location of the jets. For those that dont want them i can arange to have them smoothed out.

You will resive your bonnet in a white gellcoat finnish on the top.

£150 + postage

I will have to look into the total postage costs but it will not be cheap as it will need to be insured for around £200.
They will also need to be sent as a fragile itam.

ive got one and fiberglass boot but they are both on the mk3 rally car .
well worth it as the weight difference is under beliveable. i got a standard gsi bonnet on my track car and the fiberglass rally one is feather light to lift and well worth doing is you want to save some weight.

The bootlid is next on my list but watch this space for wide wing's
I know some of the rally boys do have these but ive never seen one come up forsale.... I managed to get hold of a set of wing's not too long ago but other than that, ive not seen anything.

Imho i think the price is good. The Corsa FB light bonnets are £105 + postage but these are widley avalible. Unlike the mk3 stuff

Well the mould wont be going anywere so i guess i can get one done anytime. Over time i will having more thing's done aswell. Wing's are being done now and i will be looking at doing a bootlid sometime in the close future.

Could go as far as doing door skins aswell i surpose.

this is just a mate who does abit of fiberglassing.
Its the first time he has done a bonnet so i guess he is still learning.....

I havnt a clue what to use of do so ive left it to him.

Any advice is greatfully recived.
