GTE16vcab picked one up a couple of days ago - again I'm waiting to hear how he gets on.

I dont want to build too many of these until the ones out there have been tried and tested and I've got the small bug sorted out where it dips every now and again.

-john- thanks for the offer but at the moment until we've got these working 100% I dont want to make up too many units but apart from the small glitch above they seem to be working well.

half the fun is building them I've got inhouse (well inshed) facilities for designing, making and drilling the PCBs - I've worked out I can make around 200 PCBs a day on the etching side but the drilling takes the most time. I've got to build a CNC drilling machine to cut a lot of the time on making these.

Assembling and testing takes around an hour per board. Obviously on a run these times will come down a bit but until we move house things are a bit in limbo on the stuff I'm building.

I think I've sussed out where this glitch was - found another few things that could cause glitches on the way and fixed those as well.

I've sent out JohhnyA another chip for his to see if it cures the problem and I'll be sending out another whole unit to a local lad who's after testing one.

If all appears to be fixed then I'll try and make some more units up before I have to pack up all my stuff and move to our new house

Not heard back from the 2 new revisions of the software that is being tested I'm afraid.

Johnny A has gone to a different type of speedo drive and the other chap is testing it next week hopefully.

^ Novalew, just use a GTE transducer.

Without trawling through the thread again, how much are these. I've got my clocks workings, but the MFD is seriously out (says speed is doubled?!).

    Spotted this had been bumped

Heres an update on one of the units out to be tested. The chappie has been using it for his V6 to digidash for the rev counter and the new software revision has been working fine. No glitches or any problems reported so far

Waiting for some more feedback on the other unit that has gone out with the new software in but fingers crossed this will be ready to be built into a proper product when I've finished moving house (hopefully moving within a month now).

No developments at the moment I'm afraid - still trying to get this new house in some kind of order before I can even think of adapting the garage into a workshop and making some more of these.

If I ever mention wanting to move house again shoot me

Put me down for 1 Dom and mine is reading nearly twice the speed as it should. I take it this will work with the ECU read speedos?

I am new at this forum.
I am interested in this thread very much. (Just send a PM to Dom) Sorry for that Dom!

But I think that I need to introduce my self first.

I am Carlos and I live in The Netherlands. I am an old man!

I have a DAX Cobra from 1986 and I am now putting a new injection engine.
On top of that I am also changing the steering system for a Corsa C EPAS.

SO as you can see I will need two kind of pulse information, one for the ECM (Engine ECU) and the other for the EPAS.

This thread I think will solve my problems.

    Thanks.

Dom, i think i asked about this before, but can you get one that changes a KPH signal to MPH - basically divide it by 1.6.

I forgot to show you that my "Corsa C" EPAS steering column has got an indicator switch that will use the “Cruise Control” to adjust the amount of pulses.
Check the picture, “I” would be the up “R” would be the down and “O” would be the set.

    Please put me for two!

These will be the first things I make once I'm set up again to build these modules (followed by the shift lights )

As to using the stalk switches to vary the calibration it should work but the module has been designed to have only a very short distance between the processor and the onboard switches - there is a work around if needed but the idea is that once the calibration is set it will store it indefinitely
