newish to the forum and well happy

i have not long registered on this forum and all seems good im a member on quite a few car forums but this one sticks out from the rest as most forums i go on there are very few knowlegable people on them as most are newbies or ones that think an air freshner is a mod. anyway ive been reading through posts and notice you guys are not afraid of stripping engines to their balls or swapping engines about and thats something ive always wanted to do as a enthusiast so with a little help from you guys i may start a project in the near future. in a sense im not that good with cars compared to yourselves but never had a car in a garage so that must say something. ive gone as far as clutches. gearboxes. head gaskets and cam belts etrc mostly on vectras. so any advice on whats what on what engines are best used what shells etc would be great
    thanks guys
