Speakers?

I've just got a CD head unit - been without one for ages, and am having to listen to music from 4 tinny speakers that came with car.

I have a MDF rear shelf with holes for 6x9s, so obviously i'm gonna get some, but i'm on a tight budget. I want good sound, i'm not running an amp, and the stereos 4x45w. Any recommendations?

if you can stretch to or wait till youv'e got around £100 go for some MB-Quarts. 2 or 3 ways

Id expect you can get them for around the £80 quid mark now. Its been a year since i last bought some.

MB's 3 way are over £300 though ..

Are there any other 3 ways that would fit?

JBL's 6x9's are highly rated and well within that budget I think. From the GTO range I think, have one quite a few awards.
