Transponder in the key??

Anyone out there know if my '95 cav 16v sri and my missus's corsa 1.4 sport P reg, has a transponder thingy incorporated into the ignition keys? As getting conflicting info from different key cutting places. The cav has the factory alarm fitted but the corsa has not if it makes any difference, thanx

Should have pop off the cowling and if there is a block with 5 or so wires coming out of it attched to the column then yes

Both cars will have a tranponder mate.When i got my spare cav one done vauxhall wanted 30 2 code it i got it done by a key bloke at a local market 4 8 quid.Or 20 pounds with a new key.
