    Question Help with Subs

    I'v got a 12" JL Sub in a sealed box in me boot and just bought a 12" Kenwood in a ported box is it posable to put both in my boot or will it sound funny having 1 ported and 1 not? any help would be great

    I have a similar set up. It sounds pretty good. From what I remember ported boxes are usually tuned to a certain frequency, - producing more bass at that frequency. Sealed boxes tend to have more punch than ported. It's personal preference really !!.

    Proffesionalls say not 2 mix different makes an sizes of subs cos each 1 produces its own unique sound an some times the bass notes from 2 different 1's can cause a sh#t sound but try it. If it sounds ok 2 u then thats all that matters.

    s is right, both boxes produce different effects.

    You dont say if your gonna run them off the same amp or not. Running them both from 1 amp will sound out of place, it would be better to run them off seperate amps. it still wont sound v.good. buy another jl and make a bandpass box for em!!!!!!
