cdr 500 cd player astra g into astra f

how do you get the display to show,putting a cd 500 from a astra g,into an r reg astra f,cdx model,please,

With the ignition on and the radio off, hold down buttons 3 + 5 and turn the radio on. Keep holding until it beeps and shows "display 8" or "display 10" as appropriate for the number of digits on your display, then release, power off and back on again.
