corsa C headunit adapter wiring

so after a day spent shouting, swearing and generally abusing a mates 2005 corsa c, im struggling to find the answer to my dialemma,

had a look through most of the wiring threads and cant quite find what im looking for,

i have the orange illumination wire and the red power wires, i understand that the red being the 12v supply should be connected to an ignition source, ie:the ciggarette lighter, but what about the illumination? same again?

if anyone has anypictures of how they have done it theirs that would be great!

in that case is the red just a feed?

so that goes to the cigarette lighter +? orange the same?
