    CD changer options?

My Vectra cd changer doesn't like many copy cd's, and mp3 files are a non starter.

Is there any way to tap into the wiring with an 'Auxillary In' socket so that I can plug my mp3 player into it?

Failing that, I can just replace the head unit and ditch the cd changer, but didn't wish to do that if there is a 'better' way...

    Any ideas please anyone?

Have a look at the offerings from the likes of Dension or Connects2. There are a number of options like an aux-in adaptor or if you can hook an ipod into the CD changer interface (some allow you to keep the cd changer, some replace it altogether). The benefit with the "made for ipod" interfaces is they allow some basic control of the ipod from the head unit.

Thanks Dave, I looked at the connects2 website but couldn't find further info or how to purchase the 'usb version'. I don't have an Ipod, I'm not a fan, I have a Creative mp3 player which I love because I can change the battery when I wish, so take a few fully charged batteries on a trip and no need to charge! Connect2 appear to do a usb version, but as I say, their website is cr*p and I couldn't even find the price let alone buy it!

I don't expect the quality to be good, but I may just order a cassette tape adapter instead..

Looked myself and actually, can't find anything for something that old except the FM modulators, which are crap unless you get one of the hardwired ones. I assume it's the SC804 or something like that? The casette head unit with CD control on it?

Connects2 stuff is sold by the likes of Halfords and many online audio suppliers. I might have an old hardwired FM one in a box somewhere - I'll have a look and see what it is. It had an ipod cradle attached but I'm sure it had a generic aux-in jack on it as well.
