CRAZY CDR2005! Can i put my sony in????

Hi, I have a CDR2005 in my corsa sri atm, the volume button does nothing, it wont switch it on or off, or adjust the volume. Everything is done via the steering wheel, except now when i turn right, sometimes the volume will start turning up!? Its annoying the life out of me, i want my sony back! Is it a straight swap?

You will need a fascia adapter,

corsa fascia | eBay

Depends on the aerial connection too, as ive just found that on some vauxhalls they have a Fakra connection and a built in pre amp unit,

if the volume is turning up when turning the wheel, are you sure there isnt a wiring fault to the wheel?

I wont be binning it mate.... i shall keep it!!

i bought the keys to pull it out, chucked it in the footwell and the power button knob fell off........under the clear plastic where the light shines i could see ALL the soldering joints on the volume knob had dried out and became loose! resoldered and its like new! Sonys still going in when i buy the cage etc

anyone else reading this if you have a faulty vaux volume/power knob! 5 minute soldering job fixes it!!!!!!

sorted now mate, sony xplode in the car and no use of wheel controls........
