Re: wires for remote central locking tigra
Hello Ian we need to know which wires are the feed/supply whether they are negative or positive initiation. I can get the multi meter out but thought we'd be better off asking on here first! (joint project)
Cheers

Re: wires for remote central locking tigra
Hello thanks for your reply, the unit I have has several outputs depending on how the central locking is operated, I'm led to believe that it will either be a negative system or positive. I could do with finding out which system it is and which wires/colours I need to connect to my box. I've got the instructions for the box so Its only the Tigra wiring I need. I'm presuming the wires I need can be found behind the glove box? Or should I go straight into the wiring behind the door panel?
Thanks for your help!

Re: wires for remote central locking tigra
As Ian says above, the brown/white and brown/red are the trigger wires for lock and unlock - can't remember which is which but you can identify them easily by momentarily grounding each.
When I wired mine up I spliced into the wiring for the C/L relay (behind the engine ECU in the drivers footwell). The same trigger wires are present in the loom that goes to the passenger door if these are more convenient, depends where you want to put the box. I put mine somewhere above the engine ECU for ease of wiring in the battery, ignition and indicator flash as it's nice and close to the column and fuse box.
When identified, you just need to wire up your controller in the correct configuration to pulse the trigger wires to ground.

Re: wires for remote central locking tigra
Thankyou Dave, the c/l box's wires all have in-line fuses already, so I'll probably do the same as you and mount it near the ecu. Never thought about including flashers so thanks for that too!
