You need a permanent live to the "memory" wire behind the stereo, so it keeps it's memory.

    Alba?

Deffo the wires being wrong. The memory need a constant live feed to store radio info

    Re: Stereo wiring issue

If you remove the head unit, the wiring for the head unit will have a thicker red and yellow cable, which have banana plugs, they just pull to seperate, you will see them when you remove the unit, just put them the other way round

Car Red - Yellow Head Unit
Car Yellow - Red Head Unit

I'm pretty sure on alba/goodmans etc head units, they have a sticker on saying if this unit is being fitted to a Vauxhall etc etc, check the memory live wiring is correct
