You need a permanent live to the "memory" wire behind the stereo, so it keeps it's memory.

ok thanks but what colour is the live and what do i join it to mate
you will have a red a yellow and an orange, red and yellow go to permanent live orange goes to switched live
its prob just the yellow and red wires are the wrong way round mate. that was the problem on mine i switched them and all was fine.
edit. you beat me to it lol
how do i get the yellow and red wires out mate
you have checked the fuses too havent you?
also is it standard unit or an aftermarket one?
It is a alba one i had it in my other car m8 and that worked fine in there but i can not get it to the car now
Alba?
Deffo the wires being wrong. The memory need a constant live feed to store radio info
*moved to correct section*
For the love of God, please read the rules
If you remove the head unit, the wiring for the head unit will have a thicker red and yellow cable, which have banana plugs, they just pull to seperate, you will see them when you remove the unit, just put them the other way round
Car Red - Yellow Head Unit
Car Yellow - Red Head Unit
I'm pretty sure on alba/goodmans etc head units, they have a sticker on saying if this unit is being fitted to a Vauxhall etc etc, check the memory live wiring is correct
