Astra mk3 central locking problems.

I purchased a remote central locking upgrade for my astra. Was really confused about how to do it for a while, but I have sinced figured it out. Whilst confused I cut the wire that carries the pulse to unlock the doors. After doing that I thought I'd leave it for another day and reconnected it straight away, the central locking doesn't work at all now . Also I can't find the central locking module at all, apparently it meant to be behind the drivers kick panel, but all that is there is the ecu, I have also checked behind the ecu. The only thing in there is an empty harness where the module is meant to be.

I have changed the fuse but still no luck.

Any ideas? :S

It's got an RF receiver so usually it is better to place it higher so it's not completely surrounded by metal. I wouldn't know the location for the original box, but I placed a kit in my Astra and put the box above the fuse box...

I can't even get the cars original central locking to work, so I haven't tried again to fit the RCL kit.
